Draailier gevorderden t/m vergevorderden – Tobie Miller (Can/Ch)

Deze workshop is speciaal voor gevorderde t/m vergevorderde spelers die zich in de aanpak van deze Canadese-Zwitserse topspeler willen verdiepen.

Tobie schrijft:
“‘The infinite bow’ – this course will focus on the numerous possibilities of our infinite wheel-bow, from dynamics, phrasing and articulation, to trompette technique and beyond – with the goal of finding more expressive nuances in our playing. Repertoire will range from early to more modern, with the option of some introductory material to the approach of the 18th century French vielle repertoire, should participants be interested. Advanced-level participants should have well set-up instruments with the possibility of a C-G tuning, and at least basic music-reading ability.“

Niveau-eisen

Deze workshop is bedoeld voor (ver) gevorderde spelers. Deelnemers hebben meerdere jaren speelervaring, zij volgden meerdere cursussen op gevorderd niveau bij verschillende docenten. Het aanleren van een melodie kunnen  zij zelfstandig en in het geval dat er vooraf bladmuziek wordt opgestuurd, zorgen zij dat zij deze melodieën kunnen spelen tijdens de workshop. De dissociatie van de slaghand en de melodiehand vormt geen probleem. Deelnemers beheersen slagen t/m de vierslag volledig en kunnen deze vierslag ook onregelmatig toepassen, samen met een melodie. De deelnemers zijn intensief met hun instrument bezig en geven bijvoorbeeld zelf ook les, spelen in bands of treden op en spelen veel.
Ter vergelijking met onze zaterdagcursus: dit niveau wordt niet in Zeist lesgegeven.
De workshop wordt in het Engels gegeven.

Over Tobie Miller

Tobie Miller (FR/CAN/CH) is a pioneer and virtuoso of the baroque and historical vielle (hurdy
gurdy). Over the past two decades, she has dedicated herself to the performance, study and teaching
of this instrument through historical sources and methods and is the founder and director of the
acclaimed Ensemble Danguy. Equally at home as an ensemble/chamber musician and as a soloist,
Miller divides her time between her own ensemble, appearances as a guest solo/chamber musician
with noted ensembles and orchestras (L’Ensemble Baroque de Limoges, Les Violons du Roy, Les
Ambassadeurs-La Grand Écurie, Les Musiciens de Saint Julien, Per Sonat, Ensemble Leones…), and
solo recitals of both early and modern repertoire.
