Diatonic Accordion – Pascale Rubens (Be)

Pascale schreef over haar workshop:
Eindeloos…”

Level of playing

Participants are of advanced level. They have followed multiple courses or lessons. A good knowledge of the instrument is required, participants have some experience with chord accompaniment on the melody side and playing melody and bass accompaniment at the same time is not a problem. It is assumed that participants are able to learn music by ear and can pick up a melody reasonably quickly. This course is in G-C

In comparison with the Saturday course: This lesson level is currently not offered during the Saturday course in Zeist, in Zeist we only have a beginner and intermediate level.

Maximum amount of participants: 12

Pascale Rubens

Pascale Rubens initially followed a classical violin training but fell in love with the diatonic accordion at the age of 18. In 1999 she founded the duo Musaraigne together with cellist Hannes Pouseele and represented their country with this duo in 2022 at the ERU festival in Gdansk (Poland). At the beginning of 2002, Pascale became the new accordionist with the sextet Griff. A year later, Pascale founded the duo Naragonia together with Toon Van Mierlo and Naragonia quickly became very popular in the folk world. From 2017 to 2023, Pascale was a permanent musician with the Theatergroep Tal en Thee, where she provided the music for the performances “Boom” and “Wars” together with Toon. Pascale is also a diatonic accordion teacher at the music academies of Schoten and Genk and is a frequently requested teacher for workshops at home and abroad.
