Bagpipes beginners to half advanced – Puck Duits

Puck Duits

This course is for players who moved on from beginner level and want to improve on their sound development. Using simple melodies, you will further explore the possibilities of your instrument. In this course you will learn how to add your own style and sound to a song using embellishments (including vibrato, grace notes) and variations.

Level of playing

Participants have started playing, but haven’t played the instrument for a very long time. E.g. they started playing last year and know their way around the instrument a bit. Players took part in the beginner workshop of our workshop weekend in April, or the beginner workshops of the Saturday course, for example.

About Puck Duits

At a young age, Puck Duits won the prestigious bagpipe competition in St. Chartier, and thus officially confirmed what we already knew: she play Really Really Well. Naturally, she has been a regular guest teacher for beginning as well as advanced players.

Puck currently plays in LAND, which focuses on early folk music from the Netherlands, and in Nebel, a Flemish/Dutch balfolk band. Listen to Puck’s music on YouTube:
